The Torrey Pines Kiwaniis Foundation raises funds to support adaptive sports and recreation programs for San Diegans with disabilities. They have been an integral supporter of adaptive watersports at MBAC by providing grants to develop and build specialized equipment necessary to safely provide access to watersports. Over the past several years their generous donations have purchased new jet skis for rescue jumpers, rebuilt custom accessible waterski set-ups, purchased new sails for accessible keelboats, and have provided funds to provided one on one care to include children with disabilities in camp alongside their able-bodied peers.

Their primary fundraising effort is the La Jolla Festival of the Arts, which will be held at UCSD June 23-24. You can help support these programs by volunteering your time at the event. They will be needing assistance Friday, June 22, through Monday, June 25 and any help is appreciated but please allow for a minimum of 4 hours of volunteer time.

This is a great opportunity to support programs for persons with disabilities in San Diego. If you are interested in volunteering your time please contact Foundation President Peter Ballantyne at
