On Monday October 12, 2015, MBAC partnered with Sharp Healthcare for the Sharp Rehabilitation Day on the Bay. This event provided an opportunity for persons with disabilities to participate in watersports activities they might not otherwise have access to. Our mission statement at Mission Bay Aquatic Center includes ensuring a safe, enjoyable watersports experience for all who wish to participate. The Torrey Pines Kiwanis and San Diego Magazine will host the 29th annual La Jolla Festival of the Arts on June 20-21 at UCSD’s Warren Field. Proceeds from the award-winning festival benefit athletic programs for persons with disabilities in San Diego including MBAC’s accessible and inclusive watersports programs. Read More

The Watersports Camp and The Mission Bay Aquatic Center would like to thank all the families and organizations who have pitched in to ensure great camp experiences for kids in need. In 2014 donations from our community of camp families working alongside with grants funded by the San Diego Yacht Club Sailing Foundation, the TK Foundation, The Torrey Pines Kiwanis Club, and California Division of Boating and Waterways, and Associated Students of San Diego State University allowed more than 80 weeks of camp to be awarded to campers and their families who may not otherwise have had the opportunity to participate.
