Camperships

Over 105 camperships awarded to kids in need

UPDATED 08/07/2016: So far this season we have awarded 108 camperships, enabling campers to experience the fun, excitement, and benefits of The Watersports Camp.  We are thankful for the support of many generous individuals and organizations who are committed to making sure that the benefits of camp are available to all kids.  In addition to the many families who have chosen to pitch in to send a kid to camp during registration, many generous organizations provide grants to support camperships including the San Diego Yacht Club Sailing Foundation, TK Foundation, Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation, and California Division of Boating and Waterways.  Read More

Sunday, July 24th marks the third annual Pass the Handle—Discover Water Sports Day and we are giving four lucky winners the opportunity to learn to wakeboard with one of our top instructors. Pass The Handle Day was started three years ago with a simple concept: Find friends who don’t already participate in towed watersports and introduce them to the sports that you already enjoy.  Read More

Don Chadwick and Dave Koch retire from MBACEC

MBAC bids farewell to two retiring board members

On June 9th MBAC honored two MBAC Executive Committee members, Don Chadwick and Dave Koch, as they attended their last meeting before retiring from the board after serving for 37 years and 15 years respectively.  During their combined 52 years of service their guidance and support was integral in creating the successful program that MBAC is today.
