MBAC participates in record breaking attempt

Staff and students of the MBAC recently participated in "Ready, Set, Inflate", an attempt to break the world record for the most number of people to inflate a life jacket at one time, and to raise awareness about boating safety. The mass inflation was organized by the National Safe Boating Council (NSBC), in partnership with the Canadian Safe Boating Council (CSBC). Registered participants met at aquatic centers and marinas across the USA and Canada where they were given an inflatable life jacket that were deployed at a set time. The event highlighted that modern life jackets are almost unnoticable when being worn, and can save your life in the event of an accident.

The Mission Bay Aquatic Center is owned and operated by Associated Students of San Diego State University and Campus Recreation of the University of California San Diego.
