Whether you're taking the class for credit or not, time is running out!
While there is still space available in all sections of the semester-long ENS watersports classes, the window of opportunity to add after the semester starts is pretty short. SDSU students who still need to add the 1 unit of credit must register on webportal before September 15th. USD students who want to add a watersports class for .5 units of credit only have until September 13.
Many students from programs such as the American Language Institute, or recent college grads who are no longer in college, take the classes without registing for college credit, which is fine, but those students should still attend class at MBAC prior to the third week (September 17) or risk falling too far behind to catch up.
ENS classes are a great value for a semester-long class and a unique opportunity to break up your classroom/work time and get out on the water once a week (or more!) for some "Fun on the Water".
HOW TO ADD
SDSU Students: SDSU students who want to take an MBAC watersports class for credit need to stop by the booth in Aztec Center and pick-up an add code for the class of your choosing (see the ENS class schedule at www.mbaquaticcenter.com/pdfs/ENS/ENS_FALL10.pdf). You can use the add code to add the course in webportal. You should try to attend the class orientation meeting in Casa Real, Aztec Center during the first week of school, however, if you miss the first meeting you can start at MBAC during the week of September 6-10. Many students arrange carpools during the class orientation. You must register for the unit and pay your lab fee by September 15.
USD Students: USD students who want to sign up for an MBAC watersports class for .5 units credit credit need to register for one of the MBAC EDRC watersports classes on mySanDiego by September 13. You will then need to attend one of the qualifying classes for that course. Most students chose to attend one of the semester-long ENS classes, however, each course has shorter length qualifying classes which you may also take (the complete list of qualifying courses are listed at www.mbaquaticcenter.com/usd. As long as you complete the class prior to the end of the semester you will recieve a PASS in the course. We will be answering questions and going over class requirements in the watersports class orientation in UC Forum-C on September 8, at 1pm.
