Justin Baar got his start surfing over a decade ago in Redondo Beach. He grew up surfing several times a week and competed on the Torrance High School surf team. His first job as a surf instructor was at a surf school and camp in Manhattan Beach, CA. Justin was hired as a surfing instructor at the MBAC 3 years ago when he relocated to San Diego to finish school and to take advantage of the better surfing opportunities that the area had to offer. He has traveled to Hawaii, Mexico, and Costa Rica in search of good surf. Last May he graduated with a degree in art from San Diego State University.
