Sailing Lessons & Classes

Sailing at MBAC

Learn to sail in one of our group sailing lessons.  The protected waters of Mission Bay, San Diego, offer a fun water playground to learn to sail. We offer a small boat sailing program as well as a keelboat sailing program.  Both routes will teach you the basics of sailing and you will progress to become an experienced sailor confident to sail on your own.

After completing a small boat sailing class, you can become eligible to rent that sailboat out on your own. If you choose the Keelboat Sailing program, once you complete all three levels of Keelboat Sailing you can choose to become a certified sailor by passing the US Sailing Basic Keelboat Certification test. If you want to progress even farther as a sailor, you can then complete our US Sailing Basic Cruising Certification Course. Completion of this sailing course will earn you your US Sailing Basic Cruising Certification which is recognized by sailing  charter companies such as The Moorings, and at exotic destinations throughout the world!

Regardless of which sailing option you choose, our qualified instructors will teach and guide you to becoming a skilled sailor in no time.
